Also, more than 10 lakh Warkaris pass through this route during Ashadhi Wari. Hence, during such times, the 4-lane expansion will help to ease the traffic problems.”
Welcoming the approval, Warkaris expressed their hope that the government would prioritize completing the road before next year’s Aashadi Akadashi.
NCP MP Supriya Sule also shared her satisfaction on Twitter, stating, “We are pleased to inform you that the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has sanctioned a fund of Rs 792.39 crore for a four-lane, 13.25 km stretch of National Highway No. 965 from Hadapsar to Dive Ghat.”

The improved infrastructure often attracts developers and increases demand for housing in the area. Additionally, the comprehensive development of infrastructure and amenities can contribute to the overall growth and desirability of the region. Overall widening of road can lead to positive changes in property values, economic development, and the utilization of land at Hadapsar, Fursungi, Vadaki, Uruli Devachi and Saswad.
